Additional Info About Indirect Costs

  • Students are responsible for obtaining their own housing in the local area during the didactic phase of the curriculum. The student should be ready for travel by reliable personal vehicle.
  • Since some clinical rotation sites may be away from Rome, all students should expect to be assigned to these away sites and should anticipate the need to find housing in these areas during the clinical portion of the Program. The clinical team will work with AHEC about potential housing at these away sites; however, neither AHEC nor the Program guarantees to provide housing.
  • Berry College offers a variety of meal plans to commuter students. Details can be foundby following this link.
  • Medical insurance is required for each student. Private medical insurance options are available through the Affordable Care Act. Please refer to https://www.healthcare.gov/ for more information. You may contact the Ladd Health Center for any questions you have regarding insurance options.
  • PA students will be required to maintain student membership in both AAPA & GAPA. The membership fee is one-time and will last through the course of your time in PA school.
  • Accepted students will be provided with laptop specifications.
  • Cost is an estimate. Accepted students will be given a comprehensive list of minimum required items by the program. Students may elect to purchase higher-grade equipment or equipment as needed for accommodations.

Disclaimer: This is not an exhaustive list of all expenses; it is merely an estimate. Costs may increase based on individual student selections. For questions, please contact the Program Manager: pevansthomas@berry.edu

Financial Aid

Students who are accepted as degree-seeking students into the graduate program at Berry College may be eligible for financial aid. Federal loans are available for eligible graduate students who apply for financial aid. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required to determine eligibility for these loans. Questions about applying for financial aid can be addressed in the Berry College Office of Financial Aid, Herman Hall Room 105, or by calling 706-236-1714.

Applying for Financial Aid
Graduate students are encouraged to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal processors online using FAFSA on the Web (fafsa.gov). The Federal Student Aid Report (SAR) is generated by the federal processors in response to the student’s submission of the FAFSA. The SAR must be received by the financial-aid office (along with supporting documentation as requested by that office) to determine eligibility for any need-based financial aid. It is also required for participation in any of the federal student loan programs.
