Estimated Costs
The cost of attendance (COA) is the estimated cost to attend college for one academic year, including direct and indirect costs. The graduate-level estimated attendance costs provide information for your first and second years of study at Berry College.
Direct costs are charges billed by Berry College, and indirect costs are other costs students may incur during program.

FAFSA and Federal loans
Submitting your FAFSA
Federal Loans are available to eligible students who file the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is required to determine eligibility for Federal Unsubsidized and Federal PLUS Graduate loans.
Federal Graduate Loans
To qualify for a Federal Unsubsidized Loan, your aggregate Federal student borrowing (excluding Federal PLUS loans) during past undergraduate and graduate enrollments cannot exceed $138,500.
By filing a FAFSA for each academic year, you may also apply for a Federal PLUS Graduate Loan. Graduate PLUS loans are not subject to borrowing limits and entail different conditions than Federal Unsubsidized loans.
We encourage you to submit the 2025-26 FAFSA at studentaid.gov as soon as possible. Please include Berry College to receive your results. Our FAFSA code is 001554.
If you have not reached this total or have not borrowed Federal loans in the past, you may be eligible for the following amounts:
- Academic year 2025-2026: $20,500
- Academic year 2026-2027: $20,500
This amount* will be disbursed among the three terms as follows:
Federal Unsubsidized Loan: | ||
---|---|---|
Fall 2025: $6,850 | Spring 2026: $6,850 | Summer 2026: $6,800 |
*You may choose to reduce the amount you borrow each term.
Once you have completed the FAFSA, use this link to Apply for a Grad PLUS Loan | Federal Student Aid. The Graduate PLUS Loan application typically is available around May 1.
We recommend your Federal Plus Loan be disbursed evenly across all three semesters.
Other Aid
If you do not file the FAFSA, do not wish to borrow Federal loans, or wish to complement your Federal borrowing, you may apply for private or alternative loans. Private lenders may include banks or credit unions, and other lenders that specialize in educational loans.
The Office of Financial Aid has compiled a list of private lenders. These lenders have not paid the college or a third party in order to be part of this list. Please know that you are not required to use any of these lenders and that the Office of Financial Aid will process a loan with any lender you choose outside of this list. The lenders are not listed in any order of preference and are displayed randomly.
Berry College partners with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs to administer tuition benefits. Information about these programs, including the Berry contact to determine eligibility, may be found on our Veteran Services website. If you believe you qualify for benefits, please reach out to discuss your eligibility and application.
