Lecturer of Human Anatomy & Physiology

Dr. Jonathan Andrew Purser is a lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology at Berry College, where he teaches undergraduate courses in Human Anatomy and Physiology. A licensed physical therapist, Dr. Purser brings nearly a decade of clinical experience into the classroom, with a strong emphasis on orthopedic evaluation, evidence-based practice, and the integrative function of human systems.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Berry College and his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Mercer University in Atlanta. Following his doctoral training, he completed a 13-month orthopedic residency, further refining his clinical reasoning, manual therapy skills, and ability to mentor future healthcare providers.
At Berry, Dr. Purser is committed to delivering rigorous, student-centered instruction grounded in applied anatomy, clinical relevance, and interdisciplinary learning.
