Special Note for our PROM PHOTOGRAPHY GUESTS - Berry College welcomes everyone during this special occasion. We want everyone to be aware that during April and May we expect a larger than normal volume of people. The resulting traffic could potentially cause delays to your photo sessions and parking availability may require walking. Please review our standard photography guidelines below.
Thank you for your interest in using Berry College for your photography plans. We know that Berry may hold a special place in your heart, as it does for so many in our community, and we are excited that we can provide a backdrop for your special life moments. Whether you are coming for family photography, prom photos, or another special event or memory in your life, we have a few guidelines that we ask you abide by.
The following information applies to non-commercial photography. All commercial filming and photography must be approved through the Public Relations Office. Please contact Director of Public Relations, Chris Kozelle, for more information.
- Please be respectful of our students, staff, and alumni who are hosting their special events on campus, including weddings, anniversary parties, recitals, concerts, and more. These groups have priority access to the outdoor areas surrounding the buildings. In addition, we have several major athletic events that draw colleges and attendees outside Rome.
- Please park only in parking lots and assigned parking spots. Do not park on any streets or grass areas.
- Please treat the historic structures and nature with respect. Do not attempt to alter any buildings, signage, gardens, etc. Do not enter the flower beds, plants, ponds, etc.
- On the Ford Campus, all buildings are still actively used, and many are residence halls. Please refrain from standing or sitting in front of doors and windows so event participants, students, and employees can access all buildings.
- All items/props used should be removed after photography is finished.
- Items like glitter, balloons, and confetti are prohibited at Berry due to the danger to wildlife and possibility of runoff into our rivers.
- Public restrooms are available at Krannert Center. Visitors are not allowed inside residence halls or other buildings.
- The WinShape Retreat on Mountain Campus is private and restricted.
- Photography or videography on the Oak Hill and Martha Berry Museum Campus is permitted by purchasing a Photography Pass, available at the Museum 706.368.6789.
Thank you for your attention and welcome to Berry!
